The adventure is for beginners to intermediate riders on their own adventure bikes.  We will be riding roughly 150 miles each day, with 40% off road.  If you are new to trail riding or need some tuition, Steve will be on hand to explain, and demonstrate how we do things.

The aim of the weekend is to enjoy a great couple of days riding your bikes on and off road, meeting new like-minded people in a safe and enjoyable way.  Nobody should feel pushed outside their limits as amendments can be made at any time as long as the guide is aware.

For those who wish to use our B&B on the Friday night, it sleep five riders in an open plan style. It will be available from 4pm and breakfast will be at 8am on Saturday. If you are traveling up Saturday morning that is fine.  As you will see from the video it is a dormitory style room and I appreciate some riders may prefer to get a single room near by, just let me know which option you choose.

Our riders’ flat for the Friday nigh has an en-suite bathroom, with towels and bedding, plus tea and coffee making facilities. Plus a full cooked breakfast is provided.

If you are riding up Saturday morning, you should aim to be here for about 8am – a breakfast can be available on request.

The ride starts a 9am Saturday.  We will stop for lunch and drinks and snacks along the way.

We are booked in a nice hotel on Saturday night. Twin rooms, so everyone will have their own bed – no sharing a double! Breakfast provided Sunday morning.  There is a restaurant or bar meal on Saturday evening, which is not included in the ride price.

After breakfast on Sunday we start the second day. We aim to be back at our base by 4pm on Sunday.

Kit and equipment

If your riding kit is road based it is not a problem for this ride.  However, road riding boots may not offer enough protection. If you need suggestions, just ask.   A good base layer top and bottom is a good idea and a buff/neckerchief if you have one. Lastly a hydration pack or rucksack to carry some water. There is no vehicle support on this trip.  Riders will need to carry overnight gear and tools on their bikes.
