Trail Riding UK Code Of conduct

 

  •  Trail Riding UK (TRUK) only uses trails with vehicular rights of way.
  •  TRUK uses only the trail. Riding off the trail is not permitted.
  •  We treat all other countryside uses with respect:
  •  Slow down for walkers and all other countryside users.
  •  Slow down for livestock.
  •  Stop if dogs are running loose, until the owners secure them.
  •  Stop and turn engines off while horses and riders are passing.
  •  Talk to landowners and framers.  Try to leve a good impression.
  •  Help  others in distress.
  •  Leave all gates the way we found them, if unsure close them.
  •  Never leave litter.
  •  Try to ride quietly with smoothly use of the throttle.
  •  When clear to do so, ride at a good speed of about 25mph.
  •  If you have a question, just ask your guide.
